Privacy
Your CV is stored only in your browser. AI features send your CV text to the provider you choose (Groq or Google), or to OpenRouter for Career Intel.
What stays in this browser
There is no account and no server copy of your CV. This browser keeps:
- your CV, in IndexedDB;
- your API key and the provider you picked, in localStorage;
- cached scores, in localStorage, so the same CV gets the same score without recalculating;
- the job you are matching against, in sessionStorage, until you close the tab.
CV Score and Job Matcher run by fixed rules in your browser. They send nothing anywhere.
When your CV text leaves this browser
- Importing a PDF with an API key, and writing a cover letter: the text goes from your browser straight to Groq or Google, with your key. It does not pass through InstantCV. Without a key, PDF import runs in your browser.
- Career Intel: your CV text goes to this site's server, which sends it to OpenRouter using the site's own key. Researching a company also makes the server fetch that company's public website. The app's code does not save any of it.
What the providers do with it
Groq says it does not keep inference requests by default, but may log them for up to 30 days to investigate reliability problems or abuse. Groq: your data
Google Gemini: on the free tier, Google uses what you send to improve its products and models, human reviewers may read it, and Google asks you not to send personal information. On a paid (billing-linked) project, Google does not use prompts to improve its products and keeps logs for a limited time for abuse checks. A CV is personal information, so use a paid key or Groq if that matters to you. Gemini API terms
OpenRouter passes the request to a model provider, and each provider has its own logging and training policy. OpenRouter: privacy and logging
Fonts, analytics and cookies
Fonts are served from this site, so loading a page makes no request to Google Fonts. There are no analytics, no tracking scripts and no cookies.
Delete your data
This removes your CV, your API key, cached scores and session data from this browser. It cannot be undone. To keep a copy, use Save as JSON in the builder first.
